Thank you to everyone who has made this journey possible!
I was raised in a military family and have lived in Denver since 1985. I have worked at Children's Hospital for 27 years and have been a parishioner at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Denver since 1998. When my daughters were young, I bought them the book "Do Hard Things, A Teenage Rebellion Against Low Expectations." I got more out of it than they did. With the media revealing more and more the horrific suffering of Christians in the Middle East, I have become inspired to "do something hard" to help them.
Skip and Lee Ann have been married for almost 23 years and have 2 daughters, Lucy (21) and Carly (18). Lee Ann grew up in Oklahoma, but Lucy and Carly are Colorado natives! Lucy is a Junior at Colorado State University and did Ride the Rockies with her dad when she was 16. Carly is graduating from Bishop Machebeuf High School this May and is looking forward to college in the fall. One of their favorite things to do is exploring local coffee shops around Denver. Ed Lugo is a native of Denver, Colorado and has known the Rodgers family since he was the Campus Minister at Bishop Machebeuf High School beginning in 2010. Ed has helped Skip out with the design of this website and used to be avid cyclist in his middle-school years, doing Ride the Rockies when he was 14 and 15 years old! Now he doesn't even own a bike and is lucky to get 15 minutes to himself with his two rambunctious children and beautiful wife, Sara.
Thank you for your help & support to make this ride possible!
